Since this is my first post, and my first blog, I am having some writer's block. I had thought of several things to say, but I lost them in a sudden TIA. I am a Registered Nurse by profession. I absolutely love it, but I needed an appropriate outlet to reduce the stress I sometimes feel. So, being a girly girl who loves jewelry, I decided to try to make my own. I don't know about you, but I am awed by some of the beautiful pieces that other artists are able to create! I collected pretty rocks as a child. Of course, they were all glittery. Today, the variety of unusual gem stones is amazing! Picasso Jasper, dragon veined agate, unusual quartz and crystals in every color imaginable. I can spend hours reorganizing my beads and stones, most of them waiting for the right inspiration! And of course, I want to know how to do everything...wire wrapping, stamping, metal clay, and the list goes on and on. It is so fun!
My intention here is to share what I make and, hopefully, learn from other like minded souls. Of course, I will have to talk about the other aspects of my (very blessed) life. There is too much going on when you have 3 dogs, work to go to that pays the bills and allows me to have a ridiculously large cache of beads and the trimmings, and just life in general. I am looking forward to working on this blog and having another wonderful year!
When I stand before God at the end of my life, I would hope that I would not have a single bit of talent left, and could say, "I used everything you gave me." ~Erma Bombeck
